Oddball Update

I hate being right sometimes.
This past winter and spring, I was fond of telling my friends that the upcoming summer was going to be insanely hot, because the winter had been remarkably warm.

If you have Netflix, beware: Last-minute decisions to reorder your queue most likely will be ignored.
Last night, Apple and I watched our nightly episode of 24, season two, disc two.

I’m of two minds about this. First, why make it about Kirk and Spock’s early years, as has been reported? Why not just make a movie that takes place during the TOS timeline?

Apple christened this post the “entertainment entry” because, as I was telling her about what I was going to write, we both realized it was basically a leisure update — food, games and movies.

I’ve always heard rumors about this, but a syndicated story that ran in many newspapers yesterday indicates that the DVD rental-by-mail giant Netflix is throttling what it considers to be “heavy renters,” or people who turn around more than 11 or 12 DVDs per month.

I just learned today that a film adaptation of the first Silent Hill game will be released in theaters on April 21st. Here’s the official site with a trailer. But who’s this woman, and where the hell is Harry Mason?
