Oddball Update

Write the sequel first.

Post archive for ‘Console’

Into Oblivion

Another week passes with not a peep out of me. The big news this week is that my crew and I have finally wrapped up our foremost client website project.

First Play: Dead or Alive 4

Kokoro from DOA4

One of the most anticipated new titles for the Xbox360 — Dead or Alive 4 — finally arrived a few weeks ago, and I recently picked up a copy.

Xbox360: First Impressions

I continue to experience the three-quadrant red LED error once in a while when I first turn the console on, but so far a reboot has always cured it and allowed me to play for hours thereafter. I discovered that particular error code indicates a nondescript hardware failure, so I’m not sure what exactly the deal is. I figure I’ll buy the 2-year Microsoft warranty and I’ll be covered in case it gets worse.

Up: Xbox360, Down: GM

Got my Xbox360 today, right on time. Thank you, EB Games and FedEx. Everything seems to be working well; the only issue was that EB didn’t send me one of the games I ordered.

Gaming Madness

Whilst in Michigan last month, I picked up a couple of used Xbox games — one of which was the new L.A. Rush driving game from Midway. I’ve been playing it off-and-on for the last couple of weeks. It started off okay, overall.

Xbox360 Update

Got an email update from EB Games regarding my Xbox360 order. The launch date for the console — 11/22 — is right around the corner, and the email confirmed that preordered bundles would be shipping out on Monday the 21st.

On The Cusp: Retiring From PC Gaming?

I haven’t played a game on my PC in quite a while. The last thing I played was the F.E.A.R. demo.

Blitzball: An Exercise in Frustration

Last night, for the first time, I got pissed off at Final Fantasy X.
It all began with the championship Blitzball game at Luca Stadium.

This Is Why I Suck at RPGs

All right, let me explain why I have never been, am not, and probably never will be good at role-playing games. Because I ALWAYS CHOOSE THE WRONG DAMN OPTION.
Yesterday afternoon, for old times’ sake, I decided to break out Final Fantasy VII.

Nintendo Revolution Remote Control

Nintendo has revealed the controller for their next-gen console (the Revolution), and it looks like a TV remote control.
