Oddball Update

I received my refurbished Xbox 360 back from Microsoft today, right on schedule.

My wait for a replacement Xbox 360 may be coming to an end. Today my serial number was updated at the service tracking site, and it’s a real Xbox 360 serial number.

Holy balls. I’ve just spent about three hours playing BioShock. It is…well, there are no words for what I am feeling.
Can I have my 360 back now? Pleeeeeease?

BioShock has finally arrived! The Limited Edition packaging (pictured) is huge, and the Big Daddy figurine is quite heavy — overall it’s a pretty solid package for only $10 extra.

Crap. My 360 died.
As I posted not long ago, a playable demo for BioShock was released just yesterday, but was downloading with maddening slowness.

First off, a playable demo of BioShock has just been released to the Xbox Live Marketplace — so if you can get your console online, grab it and see if the game lives up to its roots.

BioShock, the long-awaited “spiritual successor” to what is perhaps my favorite PC game of all time, System Shock 2, is due to hit the street in just two more weeks.

Since it’s been a long time since I posted anything of any substance here, and because I have some developments in both my work life leisure life to mention, I thought I’d divide today’s post into two parts: Work and Play.

I haven’t really been big into gaming lately; aside from the upcoming BioShock, I’m pretty clueless as to what’s really out there now for the Xbox 360 (my next gen console of choice, or rather the one that I happen to have).

In a few days, my dad should be taking delivery of his new Dodge Charger R/T with the Road/Track Performance Package (sounds like a nice Father’s Day present!).
