Oddball Update

I went over to the Cleveland Clinic today to take some pictures of the GTO in their scenic parking lot. Check out the new gallery I’ve added right here.

I originally created this video and MP3 sound bite for the benefit of the folks over on LS2GTO.com, several of whom wanted to know what the custom mufflers that come with the GTO’s Sport Appearance Package sound like.

It was a terrific weekend. Saturday I spent most of the day working, but on Sunday I got to spend some quality time both with my car and with Apple.

Ever since Apple and I climbed aboard the GTO and drove off into the sunset on Thursday afternoon, people everywhere have been staring at the car.

I’m coming to you from the Boardwalk Resort at Disney World this evening, where we’ll be staying the night after an eventful and exciting day.

According to the phone call I got from the dealership today, the Sport Appearance Package installation has been completed, and my new car is ready for pickup! The only thing left to be done tomorrow is install the wheel locks I requested.

I’ve added a few more of Friday’s GTO pictures to the photo gallery; they’re not the best shots but they do show some additional things!

The latest red-letter date (no, not November 5, 1955) in the history of my garage has been reached, and I’m now the owner of a new Pontiac GTO.

I am now, officially, a 2006 GTO owner. Even though the car is not here in my garage yet, it now belongs to me!

Dateline: January 12th, 2:57pm. My cell phone rings. It’s the Pontiac dealer. “Guess why I’m calling?” says Roger. My GTO has arrived, and they’ve just taken off the plastic wrap.
