This Is Why I Don’t Wrench

I love cars, but I sure can be mechanically stupid. This is what scares me into not wanting to attempt larger operations on my Formula.

Larger Problem Than I Thought

My latest issue with my ‘89 Formula, the too-high-pressure injectors, just got worse. I got a bit nervous about this whole mess last night and started poking around under the hood.

On Second Thought…

I just found a fantastic article on custom PROM programming. ThirdGen.org comes through for me again.
Looks like this could be easier than I thought. For a cost of around $200, I could have entry-level versions of everything I need to custom-burn.

Big Dilemma

In the last 48 hours I’ve come to realize that KITT has a major air/fuel mixture problem. I suspected that something was wrong the more I drove the car, and finally realized that it’s running too rich.

Gremlins!

As I mentioned earlier today, having just come into some money (a whopping $80 in fact), I decided to go parts shopping for KITT.

And So The Project Begins

The official beginnings of the Knight Project are occurring today!

Thirsty? Get In The Backseat

The rainy season down here in balmy southern Florida is on its way out, and indeed, it hadn’t rained in nearly two weeks. Until last night, that is.

The Fun Has Just Begun

Well, after sending a very lengthy, very detailed and very stern e-mail to my insurance agent last night, I promptly received a call from her and had the whole thing straightened out.

The Arrival

Woohoo! Finally, KITT made it to Florida! And it never even rained on it, either. The truck driver was incredibly nice and we chatted for a minute before he took off.

T-Minus 6:00:00…

After talking to the truck driver who’s bringing KITT down to Florida, I learned that he will be showing up here at around 2:00-3:00 in the afternoon.
