Yeah, I think the first one is a better tribute, despite Jerry’s not-too-successful bid to replace Burt in the third film. Hell, anymore I like to pretend that the second and third films don’t even exist.

I’ve seen the second and third installments exactly once apiece, and that was more than enough.

Heck, watching that old episode of Scooby-Doo guest starring Jerry would probably be a more fitting tribute than watching either Smokey & the Bandit 2 or 3.
