Day Two, Done
Posted by Chief Oddball in the morning on August 21st, 2006I just got back from my second day of Daily Bike Rides for Health™. The weather is great today. It’s a little humid, but not too hot — and the clouds kept it cool. Enough of this, and I might actually develop a tan (while I was up north, my friends joked that they have more of a tan than me, a Florida dweller).
Today’s ride kicked off right after the Monday morning ops meeting, and has left me feeling refreshed and ready to actually work. I’ve noticed lately that I’ve been kinda dragging out of bed and taking a good long time to actually get deep into the day’s tasks, which is not good — but things seem to be different today. Perhaps a combination of my pseudo-vacation and my new exercise program. Whatever it is, it’s welcome to stick around.
Off to work. Will post more later.

Hey, good for you, another day of exercise done! I agree, exercise does make you feel more energetic. (Darn, all those “experts” that tell us that are right!)
Keep at it - you’re inspiring me, too!
Thank you! I figured posting “I went out for a ride!” every day would be a bit, ah, redundant…so I neglected to mention anything of the sort today, but I did actually keep my date with the bicycle. That’s three days in a row now.
I figure the only way I’m going to consistently keep up this workout program is to make it part of my routine; always happening at the same time of day, etc. I’m very routine-oriented, so sticking to a set of familiar habits is easy. The more familiar getting some exercise can be, the easier it’ll be to do it without thinking about it.
