WS6 Sales Lead
Had a young guy stop by today to check out the Trans Am. Seems like a real nice fellow. His grandmother came with him and I think she may have been the most talkative person I ever met, but both of them were real pleasant people who were easy to get along with. In fact the guy kinda reminded me of myself from back in 1998 when I was salivating over these cars. He’s owned a ‘97 Trans Am before and really liked it, and seemed quite taken with mine during his test drive around the community. Says he’s always really loved the LS1 WS6 cars when they came out. His grandma was a Pontiac nut who herself owned a red third-gen Firebird.
Anyway, I think this might wind up being a sale. I can tell that the guy definitely wants the car, but he also wants a sport bike. From the way he talked, I think he will give it one more shot at convincing his parents to let him have the bike. If they refuse, he will most likely try to buy my Trans Am. His grandma seemed to think that money might be an issue, but he seemed to disagree. I offered him $15k even, which is a good price on a ‘98 of this condition based on what I’ve heard from other enthusiasts (who also sold their WS6s to buy GTOs!). As they left, his grandma said to me that he would probably get the car.
Hopefully I hear back from him. I’d be happy to sell the car to this young man, for sure — he knows what the car’s all about, seemed to really appreciate how well-kept it was, and I wouldn’t have any worries about passing it on the street next month and seeing it half-wrecked. It would undoubtedly have a good home. And that being the case, the ‘bird and I could part company on amicable and satisfying terms.

Hi son,
Hey, if you want one last picture set of the two WS6’s together, and it looks like the sale will happen before we get down there, feel free to pull out the red ‘bird and snap away.
Can’t wait to leave this snowy town!!
