He was sitting beside me on the beanbags and was thoroughly amused by the whole deal. so yeah...I think a Gamecube might be on my Christmas list this year...I want the Legend of Zelda in a big way. yikes...what is happening to me? I did, however, play Castlevania in Reaper’s basement tonight for over an hour. He was sitting beside me on the beanbags and was thoroughly amused by the whole deal.

I haven't read much about the game but hopefully it's the same kind of side-scrolling platform gameplay where you're, y'know, whipping zombies and stuff. That would rock. I never really played the old Castlevanias much, but I love the music from the old NES games. I have several heavy metal remixes of the various Castlevania themes from back in the day, they're swee. :D The new Castlevania shall be your first stop on the road to hell...I mean, gamerdom. I've read reports online from people with Radeon 9800 Pro cards (albeit the 256 MB versions) who say it plays perfectly, and since the 9500 Pro is only slightly removed from those cards, I think you'd be fine if you could put up with 800x600 or 1024x768.
