Well, That Was Stupid
“It’s really tough to control a canoe or a boat when you’re out in it,” said Michelle Kosinski as she awkwardly attempted to paddle the canoe she was sitting in on the Today show this morning. I don’t doubt her for a moment — after all, it’s pretty tough to even paddle a boat when it’s in 6 FRICKING INCHES OF WATER!
Check out the hilarity of the video clip on this page as two boot-wearing workers walk through the frame just seconds after Michelle begins her report, completely deflating her not-so cleverly staged attempt to make it seem like she’s really putting herself in harm’s way to deliver us some groundbreaking news about flooding in the northeast. Then watch it again and keep your eye on the paddle; she keeps fumbling around with it like it’s a gigantic rolling pin or something, and then it becomes apparent that she’s doing that because the water isn’t deep enough to put the paddle into!
The fact that NBC aired this segment right before their big controversial moment where they were going to discuss the President’s staged “conference call” with soldiers in Iraq just beats all, IMO. I care about as little for mainstream media as I do for our government administration. The day-to-day operations of these groups is one big facade, one big play-acted show put on for us all to gobble up like the gullible, believe-anything doofwads the rest of the country takes us for. Michelle, you can take your sensationalist canoe and paddle it right up your own rear end. Newsflash, America: Being a dumbass isn’t cute anymore.
Edit: It may, however, be hot, according to Rolling Stone.

Heehee…that’s why I love watching The Daily Show — they always make fun of stupid reporter shit like this. They had a piece on the other week mocking how all of a sudden reporters are trying to appear heroic by assisting in rescuing people in New Orleans and the like: “I can’t talk with you now, Jon — I’m orally siphoning flood water back to the Gulf!”
