Oddball Update

News from the car clubs in Australia has it that the Monaro/GTO assembly plant is out of automatic transmissions! The 4L60-E trannies are sourced from outside of Oz (they are built at three plants: Toledo, OH; Romulus, MI and Ramos, Mexico) and apparently demand outpaced supply for whatever reason. While I don’t have any proof that this is true, some folks whose automatic-equipped GTOs were targeted for production last week did not get built, while other guys had their M6 cars get built ahead of their TPW. My TPW isn’t for another couple weeks yet, but is it possible they might pull my order early while they wait for the 4L60s to come back in stock? Time will tell…possibly with the next status update. I shall keep you posted.
