XRP: New Rig Specifications
I think I’ve finally come to a decision on the specifications for my new rig. They’ve been adjusted slightly based on things I’ve learned, as well as some additional money I’ve earned recently thanks to surprise projects I didn’t expect to acquire. The specs are as follows:
$175.00 - Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe nForce4 Motherboard $344.00 - AMD Athlon 64 3700+ "San Diego" 1MB L2 Retail Box $14.00 - Thermal Interface Compound $25.00 - Thermaltake A1838 SilentBoost Heatsink w/Fan $173.00 - 1GB OCZ Gold (OCZ4001024ELDCGE-K) Memory $22.00 - Round Cable Kit (Red) $359.00 - eVGA 256-P2-N376-AX GeForce 6800GT 256MB PCI-Express $120.00 - Antec Performance One P160 Case $179.00 - Enermax Noisetaker EG701AX-VE SFMA(24P) ATX12V 600W Power Supply $181.00 - Western Digital Raptor 74GB 10K RPM SATA Hard Drive (OEM) $330.00 - Seagate Barracuda 7200.8 400GB SATA Hard Drive (OEM) $90.00 - BenQ DW1625 16X Dual-Layer DVD Burner w/Lightscribe, IDE (Retail) $46.00 - Logitech X-530 5.1 Speakers - Retail $15.00 - 120mm Case Fan (possibly Antec 75012) -------- $2073.00 - GRAND TOTAL
My current cash reserves are $690 and I have $1040 more coming, based on invoices I’ve already sent out. I need to do some more work on the group project I’ve been working on; another 8 hours would net me $320 more there, plus a ~$150 additional project for the bikini guy, and we’ve got it all covered. Should be another 45-60 days before it’s all said and done.
