This Tuesday, the DVD boxed set of Knight Rider’s complete second season will be available in stores. For a while there nobody was quite sure whether Universal was going to actually produce more than one boxed set, which is probably why they included Knight Rider 2000 with season one. Fortunately the sales have been good so, along with The A-Team and Magnum P.I., Universal went ahead with production on a second set.

There isn’t any information that I can find about extras or special features this time around, so maybe there aren’t any. That would be a shame. There’s no bonus disc, I know that much for sure—only three discs in the box this time instead of four. But they’re double-sided, so that’s cool. (Am I the only one who likes double-sided DVDs?) Of course, season two brought us such gems as “Goliath,” “Brother’s Keeper,” “Speed Demons” (the first episode of Knight Rider I ever saw), and “Goliath Returns.” Of course it also has “Let It Be Me” and “Mouth of the Snake,” so maybe it all evens out.

I’m heading over to Best Buy after work tomorrow to pick this up. Can’t go wrong with the $37.99 price tag, either.
