Woo Woo! More Birthday Gifts
My parents just stopped by (my dad flew in from Detroit this evening) and dropped off a couple additional birthday presents, including the Chronicles of Riddick PC game that I’ve been anxious to check out, and the last volume of the original Star Trek TV series that I didn’t have on DVD. Thanks guys!
I also received the two China Dolls albums I won on eBay from a seller in Hong Kong, making for some very exquisite timing. Although they are used, there was not a scratch on either of the discs—they look brand new. I was surprised when I listened to the CDs because there are several Mandarin-language versions of a couple recognizable tracks I’m used to hearing in Thai! There are also a good number of songs I’ve never heard before, almost all of which are quite good. More…I want more! But I’ve decided not to buy any more HK/Singapore releases; I want the real Thai stuff on the Grammy label. Unfortunately they’re hard to come by, but I’m sure somebody will offer them up eventually.
