The Laws, They Apply Only to You
Posted by Chief Oddball in the early morning on February 17th, 2005Interestingly, although I was cited by some anonymous gimboid when my friend Reaper parked his truck in my own driveway, apparently it’s legal for a person to park a big truck in someone else’s driveway.
That’s what somebody around here must think, anyway. My mom and her friend arrived from Michigan this evening, and when we dropped them off at their house down the street from us, we found a humongous Nissan Armada parked in the driveway like it was living there. The truck (okay, it’s an SUV really) had resident stickers on it, so it’s not a know-nothing guest. I really don’t know what the story is, but somebody’s got to come by and claim that truck eventually, and then we’ll see what’s what. In the meantime, I wrote down the license number, bar code number and resident sticker number so we can file a complaint if nobody ever shows up to move the accursed thing. Figure the system works both ways; might as well put it to use.
Honestly, would it ever occur to you to store your truck in somebody else’s driveway? I don’t get it with people.
