What Day Is It? Don’t Ask a Grand Prix Owner

Seems that GM has made another blunder that may result in a costly recall. Ever since the newly-redesigned 2004 Grand Prix went on sale a year ago, there’s been a software bug lurking in the depths of the car’s in-dash information display center. Apparently, the PMD engineers forgot that 2004 was a leap year! Thus, starting on the 29th of February, every single 2004 Grand Prix on the road has been showing the incorrect date on their instrument panels.

GM may be able to fix the problem by resetting the software. A more costly solution could include replacing the display unit, said a Pontiac spokesman.

Wow, guys. I mean…wow.
