Damn, Missed the Monitor
Well, as expected, UPS tried to deliver my new monitor today and failed, since no one was home. Fine, I figured it would happen like that. But when I went to sign the little door stickie so they’d leave it tomorrow while my wife and I are both working, I noticed that that wasn’t possible. For a package with this high a value, UPS requires a signature and an in-person delivery. No leaving it outside your door. Which makes sense, really.
But it nonetheless puts me in a bit of a quandry. Since there’s no way possible anyone can be here tomorrow under normal circumstances, I’m gonna have to get creative. In the end, I figure I’ll go to work and ask the boss if I can take the afternoon off, but still work from home. That way I can be here when the monitor shows up. If that doesn’t work, I’ll have to just botch the 2nd delivery attempt, and try to work something out for Monday, the third and final try before they ship it back to Texas where it came from!
I’m not even sure this thing would fit in my wife’s car, otherwise I’d just schedule a pickup. But even then, my wife needs her car to get to work tomorrow! GRRRR. So many problems! I’ll let you all know how it turns out. (Oooh, I’m sure you’ll just be on the edge of your seats. :rolleyes![]()
