Well, the old folks are at it again. In the news today:

A 92-year-old woman who wanted to take a written driving test crashed her vehicle into a Utah Department of Public Safety building, police said.

“When she was going to park the car, apparently she must have mistaken the gas for the brake and drove into the building,” [police Capt. Craig] Black said.

Jesus, if you can’t tell the difference between the brake and the accelerator, DON’T DRIVE. Just don’t. It takes something like this to happen for people to realize that? And don’t give me that “She’s an old woman, give her a break” crap. If this same old woman was too old to carry a handgun without accidentally pulling the trigger, do you think for an instant that she should be given a break there also? Let’s be realistic, people.
