Oddball Update

Okay, I admit it. I’ve been talking way too much about the car lately and I apologize. But for a while there, too much stuff was happening all at once. At this point I at least have a clear plan of what I am going to do about it—change the oil, then buy new injectors and hope that solves everything in one shot. I figure it’s useless trying to guess what else I should attempt to fix, because the only things I know for SURE are wrong are the injectors.

It’s a dark and dreary day down here. Poured rain earlier this afternoon. Of course the rain shower happened to coincide exactly with the moment I was picking up my Trans Am from the shop. Got soaked, of course. Since I had two cars, I had to leave one over there and go back to get it tonight. It’s going to be a busy evening…I have to meet with a potential web design client at 6 p.m. today as well.

The AM radio station I listen to down here can be so idiotic. You know you’re living in “God’s Waiting Room” when a prerecorded voice has to say repeatedly in a patronizing, slow, “hello-welcome-to-the-sunnyvale-mental-hospital” type voice, “Remember: Today you listened to Newsradio 1270, WNOG.” Yeah. Don’t forget what station you listened to today, children, because you’ll need to tell your nurse all about your day later! And then there was the moment this morning when they apparently couldn’t figure out what to put on, so after about five minutes of dead air, they ran a batch of the same three ads in an endless loop for FIFTEEN MINUTES. I swear I never want to hear another Ford dealer commercial again. But even so, I’d still prefer it over the FM stations that play the same five “top 40” songs over and over. Run that Ford dealer ad one more time, please.
