T-Minus 6:00:00…

After talking to the truck driver who’s bringing KITT down to Florida, I learned that he will be showing up here at around 2:00-3:00 in the afternoon. Apparently both of the other cars he’s transporting are due to be dropped off on the east coast of Florida—he thought only one was—so he’s going to drop both of them first and then swing around via Alligator Alley to get to me. This works out well for everyone because my car is loaded up at the top of the trailer, so it won’t have to move to let another car off.

The guy said that it hadn’t even rained on him at all during the whole trip down. But now that he’s in Florida, all bets are off, of course! On the radio this morning I heard talk of scattered showers this afternoon that will be continuing into the evening. Usually, when a Florida meteorologist says “rain,” no rain will come, and vice versa, so hopefully that holds true today. I’ve got my camera with me so I can continue the “photo journal” started by my dad with the car was loaded up north.

Now I must contact the insurance company again and walk them through every baby-step of this addition to my policy, because given the confusion that reigned over there last time I did this, I could be getting a big fat bill that I don’t deserve unless I make sure they have their heads screwed on straight.
